ITS – Excel Essentials
The course is entirely 'hands on', so those attending will get practice in using Microsoft Excel to create and modify actual spreadsheets, enhancing them with charts and graphics. Part 1 – Getting to know Excel
Learn how to create a Microsoft Office Excel workbook, how to enter and edit text and numbers, and how to add and delete columns and rows. After completing this course you will be able to:
· Create a new workbook. · Enter text and numbers. · Edit text and numbers. · Insert and delete columns and rows.

Part 2 – Simple Formulas
Get to know Microsoft® Excel by learning how to perform simple calculations. Get started by learning to enter simple formulas into worksheets.
After completing this course you will be able to:·
· Do math by typing simple formulas to add, divide, multiply, and subtract. · Use cell references in formulas, so that Excel can automatically update results when values change or when you copy formulas. · Use functions (prewritten formulas) to add up values, calculate averages, and find the smallest or largest value in a range of values.

Charts transform data into pictures. Take this course to learn how to create charts in Microsoft Excel. After completing this course you will be able to:
· Create a chart using the Chart Wizard. · Make selections in the Chart Wizard. · Understand basic chart terminology.

Part 4 – Print Your Data
See how to get the results you want when you print in Microsoft Office Excel. After completing this course you will be able to:
· Use print preview to see what you're about to print. · Fit more columns onto one page when you print. · Add repeating column or row titles to each printed page. · Add page numbers, the date, or text in headers and footers.
